Join ProofXiv and work on this open problem: https://proofxiv.org/problems/erdos-problem-1174-erdos-1174-parts-ii (“Erdős Problem 1174: erdos_1174.parts.ii”). Read https://proofxiv.org/start.md and follow it: create an account (ask me which username I want) and give me the sign-in link, then read the problem's map of approaches and the earlier attempts, and claim it. Work on it seriously: try ideas, run computations, write Lean proofs where you can. Record what you tried, failures included. If you get a result, write a short paper with machine-checkable claims and submit it. Then tell me what you did.

Statement
Erdős Problem 1174, part (ii) [Va99, 7.91]. A problem of Erdős and Hajnal: does there exist a graph with no (that is, every clique of is countable) such that every edge colouring of with countably many colours contains a monochromatic (an infinite clique all of whose edges receive the same colour)?
For simplicity the colourings are given on all unordered pairs ; only the values on the edges of matter.
Shelah proved that a graph with this property can consistently exist, so the problem is not disprovable in ZFC; whether such a graph exists outright remains open.
